FLORIDA CARES INITIATIVE BREAKFAST AND VIP RECEPTION

Jacksonville, FL - MAY 15, 2008 - The Florida Cares Initiative, and its extension, the National Cares Mentor Movement will hold a Free Faith-Based Breakfast on Friday, May 16th from 8:30-10:30am at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, 1620 Wells Road, Orange Park, FL. The breakfast, open to the general public, will consist of a breakfast buffet, community leaders and a keynote address from Susan L. Taylor. The Florida Cares Initiative will also hold a Free VIP reception on Friday, May 16th from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, 1620 Wells Road, Orange Park, FL. The reception, open to the general public, will feature Susan L. Taylor and friends from across the nation in support of this critical mentor movement.


The weekend launch will bring together youth, new mentors and community leaders, mentoring programs and agencies, and a host of others who will help make a special appeal to sign-up thousands of mentors for children on-site. All media personnel are welcome to cover this a sincere effort to meet the challenges our youth face today and tomorrow.
